Crystal Organic Farm

Ask any farmer in Georgia and they'll tell you: farming is tough on the best of days. Add a couple of tornadoes to the mix and it becomes nearly impossible.

Several tornadoes tore through Newborn, Georgia in early April of 2017 causing significant damage to the high tunnels, seedhouse and hoophouse of Crystal Organic Farm.  These structures were already planted with spring produce, setting back their vegetable production and causing thousands of dollars in damage. In addition to the structural damage, the rains eroded the road leading to the back fields making it nearly impossible to pass through. The Farmer Fund granted $3,500 to help repair the damage and get the farmers at Crystal Organic Farm back to farming!
