Hurricane Michael

Hurricane Michael has taken a heavy and lasting toll on farmers throughout Georgia.  Some farms hit hard include Lola’s Organic Farm, Atlanta Harvest, White Oak Pastures, Clark Farm & Produce and others.  In conversations with several of our member farmers, the loss is overwhelming and emotional.  This is their land, their business and their heritage.  They have lost crops, livestock, buildings, chicken houses, equipment as well as trees and other landscapes.

You can help today by supporting The Farmer Fund, an emergency relief fund for farmers impacted by natural disasters.  The Farmer Fund, now managed by Georgia Organics, has provided direct financial assistance for farmers suffering losses from  tornadoes, hurricanes or floods.

Please consider making a donation today to The Farmer Fund to provide critical help in the recovery of Georgia’s sustainable and organic farms impacted by Hurricane Michael.  We will keep you posted on ongoing recovery efforts, but thank you in advance for your generosity in supporting our farmers who took a direct hit.
